The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Hong Kong Group) Ltd which represents the recording industry in Hong Kong announce today that at the Committee Meeting of 12 June, 2008, the Chairman position left open by the resignation of Mr. Hung Tik last month was successfully filled by Mr. NG Yu.

Mr. NG is currently the CEO of member company Emperor Entertainment Group and he had long experience in the entertainment industry including the recording business. He is well respected in our society and is an active player in the entertainment industry. His recent contribution to the industry is exemplified by being a key driver in the establishment of the Hong Kong Music Fair.

At the time of market changes, the industry group looks forward to his guidance and expertise in bringing the association to facing the new challenges.

The Association also voted a note of thanks to the past Chairman Mr. Hung Tik for his past efforts.
