The upcoming IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award has joined forces with seven other leading film and entertainment events to form the inaugural, Entertainment Expo Hong Kong!

Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, to commence in March 2005, will encompass the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award, Asia's premier film & television market (FILMART), the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Excellence Awards (HKDEEA), the Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), the Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony (HKFA), the Digital Entertainment Leadership Form (DELF) and the Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards (ifva).

Held over a sixteen-day period from 22 March - 6 April 2005, Entertainment Expo Hong Kong will attract both business and consumer audiences from around the globe to this monumental event. Internationally-renowned actor and recent star of the long-awaited movie 2046, Mr. Tony Leung has been appointed as Hong Kong's Entertainment Ambassador in promoting Hong Kong's entertainment industry to the world.

In the lead-up to Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, a series of local and overseas publicity events are being held to announce next year's grand event to international audiences. Well-known music artist Ms. Coco Lee is one of the many endorsing celebrities of Entertainment Expo, alongside a series of other famous faces. IFPI Hong Kong's CEO, Mr. Ricky Fung said, "Music is an integral part of film, media and entertainment, and we look forward to hosting the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Awards as part of this event".
