- International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Hong Kong Group) Limited was established in 1967 in Hong Kong and its wide membership covers the majority of record companies that create music copyrights and/or import music products for exploitation under license in Hong Kong.
The Company's priorities are:
- Protect members' copyrights in the fight against music piracy & infringing activities
- Promoting fair market access and adequate copyright laws
- Helping to develop the legal environment and proposing the technologies for the recording industry to prosper in the digital era
- Promote common interests beneficial to the industry as a whole
The Hong Kong Group's wholly owned subsidiary Phonographic Performance (South East Asia) Limited
collectively administers rights including broadcasting and public performance rights of music recordings on behalf of sound and audiovisual recording copyright owners.
